We are launching at three prestigious events in London and across our Commonwealth to coincide with the Commonwealth Summit happening on April 16th and throughout the year.
Alongside our London activities we plan six fashion conversations across Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Pacific and Americas on what our Commonwealth Fashion Priorities are and how these can be applied to programmes to add value and to improve business and development opportunities for our members.
February will see a reception at Buckingham Palace ‘celebrating’ the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange in partnership with and delivered by Eco-Age, Google Arts and Culture, The British Fashion Council, Swarovski, The Woolmark Company, MATCHESFASHION.COM, the Commonwealth Secretariat and Her Majesty’s Government.
February 20th will see a Commonwealth Fashion trade reception at the New Zealand High Commission London. Guests will include High Commissioners, trade delegates, retailers, educators, fashion brands, gender and youth empowerment agencies and ministers for trade. We want people to start to think about Made in the Commonwealth and about the economic, empowerment and inclusive agenda this could bring to development across the Commonwealth Fashion Industries.
